Wolfe Field Community Survey – Your Community. Your Voice. Your Vision.

Lewisburg Borough is developing a master plan to guide the future of Wolfe Field and ensure it remains a valued community park for generations to come. Community input has been central to this effort with nearly 350 residents, stakeholders, and park users engaged so far.

The project team is seeking additional feedback to help refine and prioritize the ideas that emerged from these earlier efforts. Your responses will directly inform decisions about recreation, conservation, access, and long-term park use.

Lewisburg Borough Holiday/Christmas Tree Disposal

Lewisburg Borough will be picking up Holiday/Christmas trees from Monday, January 5, 2026 – Friday, January 16, 2026 from Borough properties.  Please make sure to place your tree curbside in front of your home to allow for efficient collection by the Borough crew.  Tree collection will occur as the crew has availability and not necessarily on your street cleaning day.

Lewisburg Borough residents are also welcome to self-haul their Holiday/Christmas trees to the brush pile at the Recycling Center in the Wolfe Field Athletic Complex along St. Anthony Street.  The brush pile is open on Wednesdays from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to noon (weather permitting).

Holiday Season – Refuse Collection Schedule & Recycling Center Hours

The Lewisburg Borough Office and Public Works Department will be closed on Thursday, December 25, 2025, to observe the Christmas Holiday, and Thursday, January 1, 2026, to observe the New Year’s Holiday.

Refuse normally picked up on Thursday, December 25th, will be picked up Friday December 26, 2025, along with refuse normally picked up on Friday.

Refuse normally picked up on Thursday, January 1st, will be picked up on Friday January 2, 2026, along with refuse normally picked up on Friday.

Recycling Center hours will not change.

THANKSGIVING REFUSE SCHEDULE and CURBSIDE LEAF COLLECTION

The Lewisburg Borough Office will be closed on Thursday, November 27, 2025 and Friday, November 28, 2025 to observe the Thanksgiving Holiday.

The Borough Public Works Department will be closed Thursday, November 27, 2025 and Monday, December 1, 2025.  The Borough’s Public Works crew will be working on Friday, November 28th.

Refuse normally collected on Thursdays will be picked up on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 along with refuse normally collected on Wednesdays.   Our Friday, November 28th refuse collection will be as normal.  Our Monday, December 1st refuse collections will be picked up instead on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 and refuse normally picked up Tuesdays will instead be picked up Wednesday, December 3, 2025 along with refuse normally picked up on Wednesdays.

Lewisburg Borough curbside leaf collection continues through Friday, December 5, 2025.  No leaves will be collected on Thursday, November 27, 2025 and Monday, December 1, 2025.  Residents, property owners, and visitors are again reminded that vehicles violating the No Parking restrictions will be ticketed and towed by the BVRPD during leaf collection season.

Wolfe Field Complex – Master Site Development Plan is underway

Lewisburg Borough has contracted with BSA/Landscape Architecture and LandStudies, Inc. to formulate a Master Site Development Plan (MSDP) for the park area at the northeast corner of the Borough called Wolfe Field including the Community Garden.  The MSDP is funded in part by the PA Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Community Conservation Partnership Program and Borough funds.  The community involvement component of the planning process will kick-off on Wednesday, October 29th.  A design workshop will be held at the First Presbyterian Church located at 18 Market Street, Lewisburg PA 17837.  From 6:30-8:30 the public will have the opportunity to participate in a Design workshop to provide input in the development of the MSDP.  If you are interested, please plan to attend and provide your ideas and vision for  future plans of this community asset.  Please “Like” the Lewisburg Borough Facebook page to see other project related updates!  On this website, we will post information on this planning study and other future Borough projects as they develop.

UGI GAS PROJECT IN BOROUGH, EAST BUFFALO TWP, AND KELLY TWP.

10/17/25 Lewisburg Borough Public Notice – UGI Gas Project in Lewisburg Borough, East Buffalo Township, and Kelly Township

Lewisburg Borough has been notified by UGI that their contractor will be undertaking gas riser replacement projects in the Fourth Ward of Lewisburg Borough, in East Buffalo Township, and in Kelly Township.  The project is expected to begin on Monday, November 3, 2025 and run through the end of the month.

J.F. Kiely Construction has been contracted by UGI to perform this gas line related work.   UGI will be directly contacting property owners where the work is planned.  Although the majority of the work is expected to be undertaken on private property, some work may occur in the roadways requiring the closure of those streets between the hours of 7:00 am – 5:00 pm.
