COVID-19 Message to Lewisburg Borough Residents 3/25/20

The Borough of Lewisburg is providing the following information to keep its residents and businesses informed with current and relevant information.  There is a lot of information circulating in various formats so we have compiled a shortlist of resources below for your convenience.  We will provide additional updates as information and resources warrant.  Most importantly, we are advising the community to follow the PA Department of Health and CDC guidelines on COVID-19.

Please note, the Lewisburg Borough Municipal Building (55 S. 5th Street) remains closed to the public, however, parking, refuse or other payments can be mailed or dropped in the silver box outside of the employee entrance.  Borough employees are working a rotating schedule to handle municipal business.

United Way

United Way has a COVID-19 Community Economic Relief Fund.  This will help with bills, rent, and food.  You can call: 1-866-211-9966 and will be given a list of local agencies to provide assistance.  Also, there is a COVID-19 Response Volunteer Sign-Up for assisting with needed tasks in the Valley.



SEDA-COG crisis services are still functioning. The Crisis program repairs a malfunctioning heating unit at no cost to residents who qualify for fuel assistance, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

The deadline to file Pennsylvania personal income tax returns with the Department of Revenue for 2019 has been extended by 90 days to July 15 Other tax-related deadline delays on PA Revenue website.

Businesses – Related

Small Business Development Centers (SBDC’s) are providing FREE services to local businesses fighting the fallout from coronavirus.  The SBDC’s are helping small and large business owners navigate the disruption in business and are working with them to remain successful. The Centers can help with Small Business Administration disaster financing and aid in other pandemic-related challenges.
