Lewisburg Parking Options offered by Lewisburg Borough

LEWISBURG BOROUGH PARKING PERMITS MUST BE PURCHASED IN PERSON

A municipal parking lot permit can be purchased from Lewisburg Borough for $50/month on a first come first serve basis.  These parking permits are limited in number and can be purchased in advance for several months at a time.  The parking permit costs are not prorated for a partial month.  For example, purchasing a Lewisburg Borough Parking Permit on August 18th for August through December 2025 will be $250.00 (5 months x $50.00 = $250.00).  These permits must be purchased in person by the person that will be utilizing the parking space.  The Lewisburg Borough Office is located at 55 South Fifth Street and our regular office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.  When visiting the Borough Office in person, the purchaser must provide the following information on a parking permit application provided by the Borough:

  • The person’s name with a valid form of identification.
  • An e-mail address (for contacting the permit holder when downtown events prohibit parking in the permitted lot).
  • A cell phone or local phone number (for immediate contact in the event of an emergency in the permitted lot).
  • Vehicle make, model, and color.
  • Vehicle license plate number.

The three permitted parking lots are located at:

  1. Municipal Parking Lot 2 (MPL 2) – adjacent to Hufnagle Park located at 515 Market Street
  2. Municipal Parking Lot 1 (MPL 1) – behind the post office building located at the corner of Market Street and South Third Street
  3. Municipal Parking Lot 6 (MPL 6) – along Cherry Alley north of Market Street between North Third Street and North Second Street (in close proximity to Grams Eatery)

A Lewisburg Borough Parking Permit is municipal parking lot specific.  You can only park in the municipal parking lot for which you have a parking permit.

These Lewisburg Borough permitted lots have limited spaces available for parking permits and the available permits are expected to sell out.

Lewisburg Borough Parking Permits can only be purchased for the remainder of 2025.  2026 Lewisburg Borough Parking Permits are not yet available for purchase.  Lewisburg Borough 2026 Parking Permits will go on sale at the Lewisburg Borough Office on December 15th, 2025 at 8:00 am.

The Borough accepts payment in cash, check, money order, or credit card.  Credit card charges will include an additional $3.00 convenience fee.

Lewisburg Borough Parking Permits cannot be purchased online, over the phone, or through the mail.  Permits to park in a Lewisburg Borough municipal parking lot must be purchased in person at the Lewisburg Borough Office at 55 South Fifth Street, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
