South Eighth Street/White Pine Alley Construction Project Schedule (weather dependent)
Lewisburg Borough South Eighth Street/White Pine Alley Construction Project Schedule (weather dependent)
Gutelius Excavating, Inc., Mifflinburg, PA, working on behalf of Lewisburg Borough, will begin construction activities associated with Lewisburg Borough’s South Eighth Street/White Pine Alley Project during the week of July 6, 2026. The project is anticipated to last 3- 4 weeks. Construction should be completed by the end of July 2026 (weather dependent).
The project will involve improvements on South Eighth Street from Market Street to St. Louis Street, White Pine Alley from South Eighth Street to Hawn Alley, and at the South Eighth Street/St. Louis Street intersection. Construction activities will include extensive below ground storm water system improvements on South Eighth Street, sidewalk and accessibility improvements at White Pine Alley, base repairs to the streets, milling of the old asphalt, paving of the streets, and line painting.
Please comply with all posted “No Parking” signs for the duration of the project as ticketing and towing of vehicles may be necessary to ensure the project is completed in a safe and timely manner. We anticipate parking restrictions on South Eighth Street and a portion of St. Louis Street for the duration of the project. We also anticipate the closure of South Eighth Street, White Pine Alley, and St. Louis Street in the project area at times for construction activities.
Please note that inclement weather could delay the anticipated project schedule. Make sure to check the Lewisburg Borough Facebook page for project schedule updates. Questions can be directed to office@lewisburgborough.org or 570-523-3614.
We understand that road construction activities can be frustrating. However, street maintenance is a necessary part of Borough operations and the responsibility of our municipality. As always, please slow down in all construction zones and watch for workers on the street.
