Update on Lewisburg Borough 2026 Streets Project
Update on the Lewisburg Borough 2026 Streets Project
Gutelius Excavating, Inc., Mifflinburg, PA, working on behalf of Lewisburg Borough, has completed paving activities associated with Lewisburg Borough’s 2026 Streets Project. The Lewisburg Borough Public Works crew will complete line painting activities on North Eighth Street and Spruce Street today. We expect both streets to be fully opened by the close of business today.
Line painting on North Front Street will be undertaken on Monday, July 13, 2026 (weather dependent of course). Monday morning from 7:00 am – noon is No Parking on North Front Street. With the need to complete line painting on this street, the BVRPD will be ticketing and towing any illegally parked vehicles on North Front Street between the hours of 7:00 am – noon on Monday.
Construction continues on South Eighth Street with Gutelius Excavating, Inc. installing the new storm water management components of the project. Residents and visitors should expect daily street closures through the month of July 2026. Every effort will be made to open the street during the evenings and on weekends. However, some stages of the construction could require closures for longer periods of time.
Make sure to check the Lewisburg Borough Facebook page for project schedule updates. Questions can be directed to office@lewisburgborough.org or 570-523-3614.
We understand that road construction activities can be frustrating. However, street maintenance is a necessary part of Borough’s operations and the responsibility of our municipality. As always, please slow down in all construction zones and watch for workers on the street.
