Fall Leaf Pick-Up Schedule

The Borough’s fall leaf pick-up season begins on Monday, September 17th.

Only leaves should be raked into piles along the curb on your regularly scheduled street cleaning day. Remember, leaf pick-up requires that the ‘no parking’ restrictions be honored the entire time posted on the street signs!

Monday, September 24th the Borough will tow vehicles in violation of the parking requirements.

The last day for leaf pick-up will be Friday, November 23rd.

MARKET STREET LEAF PICK-UP:  If you live on Market Street, place your leaves along the curb for pick-up between the hours of 6 AM and 7 AM every Monday morning.

Brush Pile Closed/Recycling Center Open September 12, 2018

Due to the recent weather conditions and the flooding in the area of Wolfe Field, the Borough has decided to close the brush pile.  However, it has been determined that the Recycling Center will remain open.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Borough Office.

Cancellation of August’s Community Development/Planning Committee Meeting

Lewisburg Borough has cancelled their August Community Development/Planning Committee meeting. The Committee had anticipated discussing a new version of the draft Non-Discrimination Ordinance this month. However, the size of the anticipated crowd at the Committee meeting required the Borough to find an alternate location for this meeting. That alternate location also appeared too small to accommodate the crowd expected to attend. As such, a new location for the meeting was secured, but the new facility was not available for the normal Community Development/Planning Committee meeting date and time. An alternate day and time was selected for the Committee meeting, but unfortunately the selected evening conflicted with a previously scheduled event at a nearby organization. That organization’s leadership was concerned that attendees at the Committee meeting would fill all available parking spaces in the area preventing their members from attending their organization’s event. In addition, some members of the organization also wanted to attend the Committee meeting to participate in the Non-Discrimination Ordinance discussion. Accordingly, the Committee meeting has been cancelled and the Borough will likely schedule a special Community Development/Planning Committee meeting later in August or in September to discuss the draft Non-Discrimination Ordinance. Once a date, time, and location is finalized, it will be announced on the Borough’s Facebook page and the Borough’s website.
