On August 1, 2022, Union County plans to submit an application to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for Community Development Block Grant-CARES (CDBG-CV) funds. The application documents will be available for public inspection at Union County, 155 N. 15th Street, Lewisburg, Commissioners’ meeting room. In no case shall the County Commissioners disclose any information concerning the financial status of any program participant(s) which may be required to document program eligibility or benefit. Furthermore, the County Commissioners shall not disclose any information which may, in the opinion of the County Commissioners, be deemed of a confidential nature.
The Union County Commissioners will consider approval of the CDBG-CV-C application submittal at the regular public meeting to be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at the Union County Government Building, 155 N. 15th Street, Lewisburg, Commissioners’ meeting room.

The Borough of Lewisburg is accepting applications for a full-time Parking Meter Attendant/Clerk. This employee serves as the Borough’s Parking Enforcement Officer and is responsible for all aspects of parking enforcement in our metered spaces and municipal parking lots. The employee will typically work 40 hours per week on a Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday schedule as determined by the Borough Manager. The anticipated employee starting date for this position is Monday, July 18, 2022. Applications can be obtained from the Borough Office, 55 South Fifth Street, Lewisburg, PA 17837. Previous parking meter enforcement or law enforcement experience is preferred, but not required. Experience working in the public sector or municipal government is a plus. Position requires the ability to follow written/oral instructions, perform a variety of manual tasks associated with parking enforcement and coin collection, walking up to eight (8) miles per day on enforcement rounds often under adverse weather conditions, pushing a 150 – 200 pound coin collection cart over sidewalks and roadways, and representing the Borough in court appearances associated with parking meter violations. A valid driver’s license is required. This is a full-time position with benefits as defined by a union contract. Wages during the 90-day probationary period are $17.95/hour per the union contract.
