BOROUGH OF LEWISBURG
At the regular meeting of the BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF
LEWISBURG, held on the 20th day of December, 2005, at 7:00 P.M.,
at the Lewisburg Borough Building, 55 North Fifth Street,
Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania, at which meeting a quorum
was present, the following Resolution was duly adopted:
WHEREAS, Subsection 1 of Section 107 of Part 1 of Chapter 20 of
the Code of Ordinances, being part of Section 2 of Ordinance No.
914, enacted January 19, 1999, provides that Borough Council shall
from time to time establish by resolution fees for the collection
and disposal of refuse; and
WHEREAS, new Section 208 of Part 2 of Chapter 21 of the Code of
Ordinances, being part of Section 8 of Ordinance No. ll l enacted
December 20, 2005, provides that Borough Council shall from time
to time establish by resolution fees for street excavations and
degradation fees for pavement excavations.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the BOROUGH COUNCIL OF THE
BOROUGH OF LEWISBURG, and it is hereby resolved by the authority
of the same, as follows: That pursuant to Subsection 1 of Section
107 of Part 1 of Chapter 20 of the Code of Ordinances, being part
of Section 2 of Ordinance No. 914, enacted January 19, 1999, the
existing fee schedule established by Resolution Nos.00-07 and
02-08 for the collection and disposal of refuse is hereby replaced
by the following new fee schedule for the collection and disposal
of refuse:
"REFUSE, COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF (placed at ground level)
1. From each dwelling unit, a flat fee of Forty-five ($45.00)
Dollars per quarter, except with respect to rooming and boarding
houses, which shall pay a flat fee of Forty-five ($45.00) Dollars
per quarter for each family residing therein, and with respect to
apartment houses and multi-family dwellings, which shall pay a
flat fee of Forty-five ($45.00) Dollars per quarter for each
dwelling unit therein, less a reduction of seventeen and five
tenths (17.5%) percent in the total flat fee to be paid when there
is
fifty (50) or more units.
2. From each home occupation and/or professional office, a flat
fee of Forty-five ($45.00) Dollars per quarter in addition to the
fee for any dwelling unit.
3. From each hotel, restaurant, school, church, institution,
commercial and industrial establishment, fraternity and sorority
house, etc., with a bulk container, Seven Dollars and Fifty
($7.50) Cents per pickup for each cubic yard of bulk container.
Bulk containers have a capacity of two (2), three (3) and four (4)
cubic yards and will be supplied by the Borough. The capacity of
the bulk container to be supplied by the Borough shall be
determined by the Borough Manager.
4. From each hotel, restaurant, school, church, institution,
commercial and industrial establishment, fraternity and sorority
house, etc., without a bulk container, a flat fee of Forty-five
($45.00) Dollars per quarter in addition to the fee for any
dwelling unit.
5. Any apartment houses, multi-family dwellings, etc. with three
(3) or more dwelling units which desires a bulk container shall
pay a service, charge of Ten ($10.00) Dollars per month in
addition to the fee set forth in subsection 1 above.
6. For temporary dumpsters for houses and commercial
establishments:
a. Twenty ($20.00) Dollars shall be charged for the placement of a
temporary dumpster for thirty (30) days.
b. Twenty ($20.00) Dollars shall be charged for each additional
month the temporary dumpster is required.
c. A dumping fee of Fifteen ($15.00) Dollars for a two (2) cubic
yard container, Twenty-two Dollars and Fifty ($22.50) Cents for a
three (3) cubic yard container, and Thirty ($30.00) Dollars for a
four (4) cubic yard container shall be charged." |
